A customer once asked me a very practical question:
“Abhinav, why should I spend ₹999 on an Automatic Sitz Bath when your Manual Sitz Bath is ₹499?”
I liked the question because an electric product isnt automatically a better product.
I am Abhinav Jain, founder of The Heal Company along with Deepika Jain. When we worked on our Automatic Sitz Bath Tub, the idea was not to replace our Manual model. The idea was to solve one simple problem.
With a manual sitz bath, you squeeze the hand pump yourself to create water flow.
With an electric or automatic sitz bath, a small motor circulates the water for you.
So, is paying extra for an Electric Sitz Bath Tub worth it?
For some people, yes. For others, our Manual version may be all they need.
Let me explain the difference.
What Is an Electric Sitz Bath Tub?
An Electric Sitz Bath Tub is basically a toilet-mounted sitz bath with a powered water-circulation system.
You place the tub securely over a compatible Western toilet and add comfortably warm water.
Instead of squeezing a hand pump again and again, a small electric motor moves the water.
Our The Heal Company Automatic Sitz Bath Tub uses a motor box connected to two pipes and two different nozzles.
One nozzle draws water from the tub.
The second nozzle sends the water back through an upward fountain flow.
This creates continuous water circulation while you are using the sitz bath.
Why Did We Make an Automatic Version?
Our The Heal Company – Sitz Bath Tub Manual was already a simple solution.
It costs ₹499 and uses a hand squeeze pump.
But then think about someone who is sitting for 10 or 15 minutes.
They may not want to keep operating a pump.
An elderly person may have weaker grip strength.
Someone recovering from a procedure may simply want to sit quietly.
This is where powered circulation starts making sense.
You connect the supplied 12V DC adaptor, switch on the system and let the motor handle the water movement.
That convenience is the main reason our Automatic version exists.
What Comes With The Heal Company Automatic Sitz Bath Tub?
Our Automatic Sitz Bath Tub costs ₹999.
The complete kit contains:
1 Plastic Sitz Bath Tub, 1 Motor Box with 2 connected pipes and nozzles, 1 12V DC Adaptor, 1 Storage Bag and 1 Instruction Manual.
The storage bag is useful after use for keeping the motor box and adaptor together once they are completely dry.
We wanted the kit to feel complete rather than giving customers several loose parts that are difficult to store.
Two Nozzles — Two Different Jobs
This is an important difference in our Automatic model.
The two nozzles are not doing the same thing.
Nozzle 1 – Water Intake
The first nozzle draws water from the sitz bath into the circulation system.
Nozzle 2 – Water Output
The second nozzle sends the circulated water back into the tub and provides the upward fountain flow.
So the water follows a simple cycle:
Water in tub → Intake nozzle → Motor circulation → Output nozzle → Back into tub.
The system keeps circulating the same sitz-bath water.
Electric vs Manual Sitz Bath
This is where most customers actually need help.
The tub itself has the same basic purpose.
The big difference is how the water movement is created.

With our Automatic Sitz Bath Tub, the motor circulates the water.
The Manual version costs ₹499.
The Automatic version costs ₹999.
So you’re mainly paying the extra amount for powered circulation and convenience.

When Does an Electric Sitz Bath Make Sense?
I think an Electric Sitz Bath Tub can make more sense for people who want to sit comfortably without repeatedly operating a hand pump.
It may also be useful for someone who finds repeated hand squeezing uncomfortable.
Imagine an older customer in Rohini, Delhi who has arthritis in the hands. Or somebody in Pune recovering from a procedure who wants a simpler routine.
The powered system may feel easier for them.
But this doesnt mean every elderly person needs an electric model. Bathroom safety, balance and the ability to safely sit and stand matter much more.
When Is The Manual Version Enough?
This is something I want to say clearly even though we sell both products.
You dont need to buy the Automatic version just because it costs more.
If you want a simple warm-water sitz bath and dont mind squeezing the pump manually, our Manual version may be enough.
There is no motor box.
There is no adaptor.
You fill the tub with comfortably warm water, use the hand pump when you want water movement, then clean and store the product after use.
For ₹499, it keeps things simple.

Our The Heal Company – Sitz Bath Tub Manual has a wide comfort seat and deep bowl and is designed to fit most standard Western toilets.
It is made from durable BPA-free plastic.
One continuous grey pipe connects the central water-flow nozzle inside the tub to the hand squeeze pump.
You hold the pump and squeeze it to create the water flow.
For me, the main benefit of this design is simplicity.
No electricity. No motor. Manual control.
Price: ₹499
This is still the model I would suggest to someone whose main priority is getting a simple and affordable sitz bath for home use.
Is the Automatic Version More Effective?
This needs a clear answer.
Electric circulation doesnt automatically mean better medical results.
A sitz bath is based mainly around warm-water soaking.
Warm-water sitz baths are commonly used as supportive care for hemorrhoid discomfort, anal fissures, postpartum discomfort and some recovery routines.
The Automatic model changes how the water circulates.
It shouldnt be seen as a stronger medical treatment simply because electricity is involved.
That distinction matters to me.
Electric Sitz Bath for Piles and Hemorrhoids
People with piles may use warm sitz baths to help soothe pain, itching and irritation.
With an Electric Sitz Bath, the powered fountain flow can make the experience more convenient because you dont have to manually operate the pump.
But the electric motor does not cure hemorrhoids.
Constipation, straining, diet, fluids and medical treatment may also need attention.
Repeated or unexplained rectal bleeding should be checked by a doctor.
Electric Sitz Bath for Anal Fissure
Warm-water soaking may also help relax the area and soothe anal fissure discomfort.
Again, the benefit of the Automatic model is mainly convenience.
Someone from Gomti Nagar in Lucknow may prefer Manual. Someone from Bengaluru may prefer powered circulation.
The medical condition alone doesnt decide which model you need.
Your comfort and ability to use the product matter too.
What About Postpartum Use?
Women may use sitz baths after childbirth for comfort and perineal hygiene.
An Automatic Sitz Bath removes the need to keep squeezing a pump, which some users may find easier.
But postpartum care needs a little more care.
If there are stitches, an episiotomy, increasing pain, unusual discharge or another concern, follow your doctor or maternity team’s instructions.
Dont assume an electric sitz bath replaces medical care.
Is Electricity Near Water Safe?
This is probably the most important question about an Electric Sitz Bath Tub.
Our Automatic system operates using the supplied 12V DC adaptor, but electrical parts still need to be treated carefully.
Keep the Motor Box dry.
Keep the Adaptor dry.
Never immerse the Motor Box or Adaptor in water.
Use only the supplied adaptor.
Read the instruction manual before using the product.
After use, let the appropriate components dry fully before putting the motor box and adaptor into the provided storage bag.

Cleaning an Automatic Sitz Bath
The tub still needs cleaning after use.
A simple routine works:
Switch off → Disconnect safely → Empty water → Clean tub → Rinse → Dry → Store.
Do not immerse electrical components while cleaning.
The Manual version is simpler in this area because there is no electric motor or adaptor.
That may matter to people who prefer fewer components.
Automatic Sitz Bath: Advantages and Limitations
The main advantages are easy powered circulation, no repeated hand pumping and a continuous fountain-style water flow.
The limitations are also simple.
It costs more than Manual.
There are more components.
It needs a power connection.
And the motor box and adaptor need to stay dry.
So dont buy Automatic because you think “electric means better.”
Buy it because powered circulation is useful to you.

The most common question is still:
“Which one should I buy?”
My answer is:
If you are comfortable using a hand pump, choose Manual.

So, Are Electric Sitz Bath Tubs Worth It?
For someone who values continuous powered water circulation and doesn’t want to repeatedly squeeze a manual pump, I think an Electric Sitz Bath Tub can be worth the extra cost.
At ₹999, our Automatic version costs ₹500 more than our ₹499 Manual version.
But if you’re perfectly comfortable with a hand pump, you may not need to spend that extra ₹500.
That is why we continue to offer both.
